Digital diagnostic assessments within the 95 Literacy Intervention System™ (LIS) can be corrected if they have been put on hold.
Completing Assessments
After completing digital assessments in the LIS, you will arrive at the Assessment Summary page.
From here, the assessment can be discarded, held, or saved.
Assessments must be put on hold to change the score marks or modify the notational elements post-administration.
It is advisable to make the hold option your go-to. This option reduces the errors and stress during live assessments and allows time to process before final decisions are made.
Saved assessments cannot be corrected. If a saved assessment is incorrect or was recorded on the wrong Student Details page, a new one can be entered to correct it.
To learn more about predated assessments, reference our article on Predated Assessments.
To learn more about removing saved assessments, reference our article on Removing Assessments.
Verifying Assessment Status
Verify whether an assessment is on hold from the Student Details page’s Assessment History table.
Access the Student Details page by selecting a listing or student info card within the Today page's My Activities or My Students tabs, respectively.
Green checkmarks in the leftmost column of the Assessment History table indicate assessments have been completed and saved.
The absence of checkmarks indicates the assessment is on hold and pending review.
Select on-hold assessments from the table to change the scores.
Rescoring Prompts
After selecting on-hold assessments from the Student Details page, you will arrive at the Assessment Summary page.
From here, prompts can be rescored by clicking them. Click the prompt itself and not the score mark to change it.
Next, select a new score mark or common error from the Score Marks and Common Errors sections, respectively.
Note: The Common Errors section is only available within select Phonics Screener for Intervention™ (PSI) skills.
If captured during administration, leverage the assessment audio within the Session Recordings section to support your review and decision-making.
Once you have finished changing score marks and any notational elements, you can continue to put the assessment on hold and save your changes by clicking Hold. Re-select the record from the Student Details page at any time to continue modifying it.
Clicking Save saves the administration record and closes the assessment. Saved assessments cannot be opened and modified again.
